Tips for Your Wedding Introductions

Published 07/28/2020

Your introductions at your wedding kick off your reception and the party! Part of the fun is also picking your introduction songs for you, your wedding party, and parents to enter into the room. Think of it as a hype some like when a football team runs on the field. It can be hard to narrow it down to one song that will only be played for a few seconds but here are some tips to pick the best introduction songs.

Who gets introduced?
Usually, 3 groups get introduced, your parents, your wedding party and you. You can choose to have each couple in your wedding party introduced or have one song for everyone. You can also have each set of parents introduced to different songs.

If you having trouble thinking of a song to introduce your parents to, ask them! Think of what they listened to growing up, you a song from their generation. Or get them involved ask them what song they would like to hear.

Don’t forget to put your personality into it. You can also include props, make it fun! You also don’t just have to walk in you can dance your way into the room, get a piggyback ride, plan a choreographed dance with the entire wedding party, the skies the limit.

Our DJs will help facilitate almost any idea you can come up with. And work with you to coordinate your song suggestions prior to your wedding day.
