All About Signature Drinks

Every wedding should be personalized so why not personalize some items at the bar including signature drinks! Tips and ideas for creating the ultimate wedding signature cocktails.

All About Signature Drinks

We love seeing our couples put their personality and style into their wedding day.  We always encourage our couples to make things personal that way your wedding day is memorable to your guests since it was “so you.”  One way we see couples add their personality to their wedding day is by creating a signature cocktail, or more than one.  When I was planning my wedding, I was stumped on what to call my signature drink and what it would be so I created a list of tips and examples so you can have a buzz-worthy signature drink.

Think about your location

If you are having a destination wedding, one where most of your guests had to travel try to incorporate your location into the drink.

Make it personal

Trendy namesake drinks are always popular. Do you have a nickname for your SO? Do your friends have a nickname for you? Idea: For someone who loves fashion Head Over Heels and the sports fan Match Made in Heaven. For my wedding friends wanted us to have a Jeff & Ginger (ginger is my nickname with some friends) but we did not end up having it, but it was still a great name!

Play on Wedding Words

These are classics, an old fashion becomes Something Old, a mint julep becomes Mint to Be, a bloody Mary becomes Mary Me.

Tie in a Theme

If you have a theme for your wedding day, try to tie that in.  If your color scheme is shades of pink why not have a Pretty in Pink.  If your theme is rustic or farm fresh, how about a Cucumber Collins.

More drink and their wedding-worthy names:

Mojito – Mint to Be Mojito

Sangria – Marry Me Sangria

Mai Tai – Mai Tai the Knot

Apple Cider – Always by My Cider

Bellini – Wedding Bellini

Gin & Tonic – You & Me G&T

Beer – Ale You Need Is Love

Pear Martini – The Perfect Pear
