It can be an extremely daunting task, but our advice is to pick out what is most important after you have selected your date and venue and work from your top priority down the list. And do one thing at a time, so you don't get too overwhelmed.

Research - Google is your BFF
Search for wedding DJs where you are having your wedding. You can simply google it which might be overwhelming so you can use sites like WeddingWire and The Knot to target what you are looking for and show you reviews from past couples. Another great resource is your venue, ask if they have a list of preferred professionals. If you have other vendors already ask them for recommendations too.
Look for Experience, Testimonials & Awards
If you are using a WeddingWire or The Knot all these things should be on their listing, but also check out their website and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram) to find out more about the company.
Contact
Don't just email every company you found, pick 2-4 to reach out to whether by email (most popular) or phone call. See how fast they can respond to you and how easy it is for you to contact them, was it easy for you to contact them through their website? When they are easily reached or respond quickly that is a great sign!

Interview
You want to get a sense of their style to see if you think they are a good fit. Most DJs will help guide the conversation to find out more about your wedding day so just be honest with them.
Asking for a Quote
Again the companies you liked the ones you narrowed it down to ask for a quote. Keep in mind all the things you learned about them. Be sure to also define your budget.
Evaluate the Results
Check out the DJs websites, you will want one that looks professional - those are the DJs that are going to invest their time to make your wedding great!
