Sarah & Anthony at Tamarack Lodge
From the very beginning, Anthony and Sarah put together a wedding soundtrack that reflected who they are. Their music selections leaned heavily into indie folk, Americana, alternative rock, and feel-good singalongs, creating a reception that felt authentic to their personalities rather than following a traditional wedding playlist.
Introductions
Good Day - Nappy Roots
Old Pine - Ben Howard
First Dance
Snowshoes - Camp
As the night progressed, the energy shifted from folk-inspired favorites to a mix of alternative rock, hip hop, throwbacks, and party classics that kept guests moving.
Some of the songs that helped define the night included:
- "September" – Earth, Wind & Fire
- "What's Up?" – 4 Non Blondes
- "Can I Kick It?" – A Tribe Called Quest
- "Tongue Tied" – GROUPLOVE
- "Walking On A Dream" – Empire Of The Sun
- "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" – Backstreet Boys
- "Uptown Funk" – Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars
- "No Scrubs" – TLC
- "Little Talks" – Of Monsters and Men
- "Daylight" – Matt and Kim
One of our favorite notes from the planning process was the couple's request to make sure only the original version of "Fast Car" made an appearance. Personal touches like that are often what make a wedding soundtrack truly memorable.
